From October 18-19, 2024, Special Olympics Georgia will host their State Fall Games in Valdosta, GA. Families who attend can enjoy a variety of sports like bocce, cycling, golf, and softball.
Attending this event is a great way to help your medically fragile child make friends and enjoy many sports, and this is also a wonderful opportunity for your family to show support to an incredible organization and cause.
Zoo Atlanta’s Boo at the Zoo
Between October 19-20 and October 26-27, 2024, check out Zoo Atlanta’s Boo at the Zoo festivities! Each day offers many fun family activities from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Some notable activities include seeing different animal habitats, crafts for kids, puppet shows, performances, train rides, and more!
Even though Boo at the Zoo is not directly labeled as a sensory-friendly event, this would still be a wonderful event for families with medically fragile children to attend because Zoo Atlanta is a certified sensory-inclusive destination.
